About us
A Saloinha was created in 1981, by Amilcar Filipe, who initially focused on producing the famous "Pão de Mafra". A few years later, in 1988, the production and packaging of potato chips began.
Almost immediately, the decision to expand proved successful when the business showed continued growth. In 1996, the increased capacity pushed the company to move to new and larger facilities.
Ongoing investments in technology and operations has allowed A Saloinha to expand our state of the art plant, which now allows us to focus on developing new products and improve on existing ones.
As a result, A Saloinha processes 10,000 tonnes of potatoes per year, operating in both national and international markets. Recently, the company launched a new line of kettle corn and fried sweet potato chips, both of which were well received by clients.
Our enduring commitment is to unite experience and innovation in order to deliver quality service to our clients and develop new markets.
